yesterday i went up to westchester county to stay with vicki at her parent's empty house in pound ridge. the town is so cute and east-coast-quaint and the houses were pretty damn snazzy, in that upper crust colonial sort of way. i loved it.
it was so nice to escape the city for a day/night. we wandered around the little shops in town, ate sandwiches from the deli in the town square and later sipped wine on the giant deck over looking tons of bright green trees during golden hour. the sunset was spectacular and the moon rise was even better. i forget how nice it is to get out of the city. it wasn't like that in LA. just hop in the car and you're at the beach or mountains in minutes. here, it's a bit more of a chore, BUT i think it makes you appreciate getting out that much more.
