turned out to be 7 of us and the meal was superb.
olga and i were his preps and we learned some valuable cooking lessons... how to chop lemon grass and basil properly, not to mention how to make a fantastic strawberry sauce (so easy!). i was too tipsy to take photos of the actual meal, but here are a couple of the process...

the menu consisted of salad of mixed greens, sprouts and papaya with some amazing asian-style dressing,
medley of sauteed veggies (fennel, spinach, asparagus, bok choy) and steamed red snapper with some fancy "reduction" (of which i have no idea what was in it, but it was damn good). OH, and dessert. oh god, dessert! vanilla ice cream with sliced strawberries, fresh whipped cream and strawberry sauce (that i MADE!). YUM!
mr. chef got lots of props from the guests, which made me all proud and shit. so lame, but i can't help it. the boy is good.
